What's a QRcode?

It is a code that you can scan with any smart device and will give you some information. You can store in it any type of data: a website link, an address, a comment , a picture, a clip..etc.

How do I scan a QR code?

• For Android devices:
  1. You will need a QR code scanner app a list can be found on this link: http://www.mobile-barcodes.com/qr-code-software/
  2. Open the app and use it as a camera to point at the code.
  3. You will then be able to see the data behind the code

• For iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, and iPod):
  1. Download a QR code scanner app like Scan or ShopSavvy.
  2. Open the app and use it as a camera to point at the code.

How can I make QR codes?

There are many websites which will generate QR codes for you for free. Some of them include:

Type the link, or information you want and then a code will be generated. You can then save it as an image wherever you want.

Activity 2:
Using Qrcode in your teaching. Choose a handout from your previous lessons and make it come alive by adding to it some QRcode that will be linked to videos, articles, websites and that will be used as a resource to complement your handout. Think of something!
